Server Rules

RustRealm.de is built for one thing: a fair, pure vanilla wipe where every team plays within the server's team limit. By joining our server or our Discord you agree to these rules. Not knowing them is not an excuse, and staff may act on behaviour that clearly breaks their spirit even if it isn't listed word for word.

The short version Respect the team limit. Play clean. Be decent. Report problems instead of settling them yourself.

1 Respect the team limit

  1. Every RustRealm server has a team limit, shown in the server name and on rustrealm.de. Play solo or in a team up to that limit. On RustRealm.de | Solo/Duo that is 2, on RustRealm.de | Solo it is 1.
  2. Any cooperation beyond your own team is teaming, for example:
    • sharing a base, door codes or tool cupboard with another team
    • roaming, farming, raiding or defending together with another team
    • alliances, truces or "don't shoot me" agreements
    • feeding another team loot or information
  3. Allowed: talking to other players and trading, as long as trades happen through vending machines or shop fronts and are of equal value. Neighbours are fine, neighbours working together are not.
  4. No switching teammates during a wipe: your team stays the same until the next map wipe. One player, one account: playing several accounts at once counts as teaming.
  5. If you're unsure, don't. Staff decide based on evidence such as spectating, server logs, clips and reports.

2 Fair play

  1. No cheating. No cheats, ESP, aimbots, scripts, macros, no-recoil tools or any third-party software or hardware that gives you an advantage.
  2. No exploiting. Don't abuse bugs or glitches, such as building into rocks or terrain, getting under the map or duplicating items. Found a bug? Report it in #support; responsible reports are appreciated.
  3. No server degradation. Lag machines, entity spam or anything built to hurt server performance is not allowed.
  4. Keep Outpost open. Don't wall off or block Outpost, its entrances or the roads leading to it. Walling and holding other monuments is part of Rust and allowed.

3 Account requirements

  1. No VAC bans of any kind. Accounts with a VAC ban are not allowed, no matter the game and no matter how old the ban is.
  2. No ban evasion. Using another account to get around a ban leads to a permanent ban of every account involved.
  3. No association. Knowingly playing alongside cheaters or ban evaders can get you banned as well.
  4. VPNs are allowed, but accounts that look suspicious (new, private, few hours) may be removed as a precaution.

4 Respect

  1. No hate. No racism, slurs, hate speech or discrimination, whether in chat, voice, signs, drawings or names.
  2. No harassment. Trash talk about the game is fine; targeting a person repeatedly is not. No mic spam.
  3. Keep it in the game. No doxxing, no real-life threats and no DDoS attacks or threats.
  4. No impersonation. Don't pretend to be staff and don't use offensive names.
  5. No advertising or real-money trading. Don't promote other servers, communities or services, and don't trade in-game items for real money.

5 Reports & appeals

  1. Report, don't retaliate. Use F7 in game or open a ticket in #support. Include the time, grid location, player name and, if you have it, a clip or screenshot.
  2. No public call-outs. Accusing players in global chat or on Discord doesn't help. False reports and report baiting are punished.
  3. Appeals go through a #support ticket. Stay calm and honest; one appeal per ban. Lying in an appeal ends it.
  4. Final decisions. Once an appeal has been reviewed, the decision is final.

6 Good to know

  1. No compensation. We can't refund losses caused by bugs, crashes, restarts, rollbacks or cheaters.
  2. Staff play fair. Staff never use admin tools for their own gameplay and don't play favourites. Concerns about a staff member can be raised privately via a #support ticket.
  3. Rules can change. Changes are announced on Discord; this page is always the current version.
